Dear Ryan: I empathize with how you and your family are feeling right now at the crossing of your Dad, Sean. I'm so sorry to learn of his passing via your email message. My brothers and I went through this deeply emotional, pain when the centre of our family loved to the max, Mom, had to journey forward almost 3 yrs ago. Her physical absence so suddenly was unbearable. The only thing that keeps me moving forward with hope are the very distinct messages Mom sends us; when you're heart is open you receive them just as I know your Dad will send you & it helps immensely. Staying close with my brothers has been so stabilizing along with keeping busy with what we are meant to do in ou lives. Mom had written several years previously and left a note four her kids knowing the indescribable loss and sorrow we would go through, that she would be watching over us and that she KNEW we would be together again. I'm not religious, per se, but I do believe this: that we leave our body's behind but travel on to a beautiful new adventure in the next dimension close by but unseen to those of us still in physical being. You bet, your Dad will be beside you every step of your journey enjoying his immensely talented son each time you need him and right there on stage, indeed! I'm following in Mom's stellar career having just received my Real Estate license knowing her reputation and guiding love is there to urge me forward. You will find, as my friends told me, that the pain softens as time goes but 'triggers' - like writing you this note, start the tears flowing. I can hear Mom saying: Why are you crying . . . I'm more than fine and very close by? I also found that to keep chatting to Mom, asking for help or simply saying goodnight as always . . . . is very healing. I know she hears and sometimes answers in amazing ways! It's small comfort but I hope my words from experience and my heart comfort you and your family a little at this time. Take good care and I look forward to your concert in Vancouver BC. The Irish have to stick together! Warmest wishes, Dianne
